New blog on Armenian Orthodoxy: 'banakan'

A friend of mine, and fellow Armenian Orthodox Christian, has a started a new blog. It is called banakan and can be found here. If you would like to know what 'banakan' means (in Armenian), it is explained on his site here.

The subtitle of the blog is "a voice of reason in/from/for the Armenian Church". This alone makes me look forward to the present and future conent of his postings. Here is an excerpt from his first post which I believe captures the essence and intention of banakan.

"The Armenian Church tradition is beautiful, unique, and powerful. Yet the beauty, uniqueness, and power has yet to be fully uncovered—so much remains hidden, either unknown, or unexpressed. She sleeps as a lion. The question is: do we dare to awake her?"

I am grateful for any voice that speaks from, to, and for the Armenian Orthodox Church, and so I would like to welcome banakan to the Armenian Orthodox blogosphere. Please visit his site, and if you would like, share your thoughts and comments as he posts.

You may find a link to banakan in the margin of vozzmosis under 'BLOGS'.
